I know - FR is a great source - the best articles and commentary are posted here, and many of the best are posted by Laz and 2nd. That’s why I come here.

That's a good question.
A little googling reveals he was born in Cairo; is part Lebanese and part Egyptian; was raised by a single mother in Detroit; speaks American English without an accent, Arabic, and basic French; was educated at the University of Michigan, UCLA Law School, and the University of Toronto; and is a fairly typical lefty professor interested in critical race theory (anytime you see "critical" in the name of an academic field, you can assume it's leftist).
