I thought Tesla was not even making money yet, or barely so. (IIRC, Musk said Tesla would turn profitable in 2018?)

Can it be documented (by reputable sources!) that Musk is pulling money from Tesla to put into SpaceX?

Most of Tesla’s money is deposits on cars to be delivered sometime in the future.

Why would he do that?

Investors are lined up to buy equity in SpaceX.
