What the author fails to understand is that the movement started loooooong before Mr. Trump came down that escalator. It did not rise from the earth at his call. Rather, HE heard the call of the movement and took the helm.

Look at the signs from the 9/12/2009 tea party march on Washington.
Those were the same themes Trump ran on.
Secure the border
Restore the rule of law.
Reign in insane spending.
Get government out of healthcare.
All things the Bush League Republicans would never do even if they gave lip service to them.
