Put the President’s gesture in context. He had just returned from Vietnam Nam from his meeting with a North Korean dictator. When he saw our flag he hugged it in gratitude for our blessed land. It was a natural impulse for one who loves liberty.
S e cupp was never a sharp, smart conservative. She was a shrewd actress who. Figured out how to get her gig on CNN , which is what she craved all along.

Trump’s hugging the flag was a bit corny, but it also was a great play to the crowd at that time... Ms Cupp trying to turn this into some sort of disrespect/woman being assaulted analogy is just more of the same from the Nevertrump/GOPe crowd.
Fox News was Vixen news as far as I could tell.. probably still is for all I know, haven’t been able to watch it for more than 5 minutes in over a decade.
Fox Business I will watch, but FNC has been unwatchable for a long long time.
I’ve not had the sad duty of handing over a flag that has draped a casket. Many times, I have carried the folded flag as part of a flag detail, either morning or evening. I am also reminded that I had a battalion commander who asked soldiers who were re-enlisting that they swear their oath while hold the flag that hung in his office. Cupp has no appreciation for any of this and that’s why she writes with such bliss...because she is simply ignorant of the meaning behind the flag for those who truly pledge allegiance to it with their very lives.

I don’t care how you feel. Everyone seems to have bought into the idea that feelings trump ideas and civil discourse.

Atheist S.E. Cupp, like the atheist George Will, is not worth much time or effort. They’re “conservatives” who spend their time bashing conservatism.
Someone thinks she is a looker and wants to give her a paycheck for pretending to be a pundit, fine. I am not interested in her opinions.
Guess she’s sore she lost an appointment? Didn’t she have to withdraw from something. I don’t recall what.

I think attitude and political philosophy play a big part. The meanness and ugliness of their thoughts and actions manifest themselves in their physical appearances as they age. Hillary Clinton, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Helen Thomas, Andrea Mitchell, Madeleine Albright are just a few that come to mind. AOC will surely be a real clockstopper.
She will say anything while on CNN for the money.
Like many gold diggers looking for certainty in their life, it doesn’t change what they really are and I’m certain if she were on Fox her opinion would have been opposite...
