“Charlottesville, Virginia,” Biden says to the camera, “is home to the author of one of the great documents in human history.” He’s talking about Thomas Jefferson, naturally, and Biden goes on to recite a chunk of the famous second sentence from the Declaration of Independence: We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights. “It’s who we are,” he says. “We haven’t always lived up to these ideals. Jefferson himself didn’t. But we have never before walked away from them.”
The video cuts from there to footage of the 2017 Charlottesville “Unite the Right” rally, a de facto Donald Trump fan meet-up at which hordes of torch-bearing white conservatives attacked anti-racist protestors; a neo-Nazi named James Alex Fields, Jr. drove his car into a crowd of the latter group, killing an activist named Heather Heyer. “It was there,” Biden says, “in August of 2017, we saw Klansmen and white-supremacists and Neo-Nazis come out in the open. Their crazed faces, illuminated by torches, veins bulging, and baring the fangs of racism, chanting the same anti-Semitic bile heard across Europe in the ‘30s.”

The entire purpose of the events staged in Charlottesville was to paint anyone supporting preservation of history as racists.
They have been running with that narrative.
They want to make it impossible to defend our history.
It’s not like a bunch of Irish Micks were doing anything more than shocking oysters, making chipped beef, scooping poop in the streets and that was in Manhattan alone.
Many others were field hands in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, etc.
Some picked tomatoes in Mullica Hill.
Still, others helped build the E&O or the Erie Canals.
Yeah, white people.
Hey, I think a few were mere workers in Panama at one time and others built the Golden Gate Bridge.

And for people who wanted to believe Trump was on the take, Biden really is on the take.
Charlottesville was a Democrat meetup, where older Democrats who want to preserve their history *warts and all* were challenged by younger Democrats who want to wipe the slate clean and forget the past. As Trump said, there were no doubt good people on both sides of that issue. In the end, its a Democrat issue, let them thrash it out.
And then you had fascist-on-fascist violence, invited and choreographed by the city’s Democrat mayor and police chief. Again, nothing to do with Trump.

The “Unite the Right” people were against the tearing down of the Robert E. Lee stature. The Neo Nazis were there to oppose the Antifa, who came to make trouble and cause the media to smear the “Unite the Right” people when they reacted. The car attack and killing painted the “Unite the Right” people with the swastika flag. The Antifa tactic worked.
Now they are trying to paint all Trump supporters as White Nationalists. If one knows their history, the Democrats were the original White Nationalists.
Congressman Louie Gohmert said that he saw a video of Antifa protestors and so-called “white nationalists” protestors getting off the SAME bus.
Meanwhile, Jason Kessler, the purported head honcho of the “white nationalists,” supported “gun control” after Sandy Hook and he was also a supporter of Obama and Hillary Clinton.
Doesn’t sound very “right wing” to me.
