Psychological manipulaton, drugs, blackmail, personal and family circumstances, fear, debt, sense of hopelessness and giving up, self esteem, threats to self, family, and children, shame. Probly some more I can't think of off-hand.
Ask yourself how eastern European, Chinese, or Latin American women sold into slavery and sex work in the United States don't bolt at the first opportunity. You can find them at your local strip clubs.
You've been on this earth for a while. How come you don't know these human behavioral things and realities?
It doesn't take a genius to figure this stuff out. Just a little bit of observation, empathy, and understanding.
