Ironically, all the assets required, air to air fighters, wild weasel sam suppressors, tankers, awac and jstar are basically all there as support for A10’s and attack helicopters. Which ultimately are there for the grunts.. All of that COULD happen in a few hours. All of that capability is close by and loaded up...
They could use a Claire Chennault and the AVG type set up. Certainly, Putin would declare that an act of US aggression even though he has a long track record of using his own mercs for (not so) plausible deniability.
