This is a classic case of Fake News. Zillo lists three houses for sale in “Scaly Mountain”. The average price for these three is over a million dollars each. The rest for sale in the region on Zillo is pricy vacant lots. The area is obviously high-end mountain vacation property. Meadows was quoted in the article as selling the home he lived in, likely when he was a member of the House of Representatives and moving into a condo in DC. He then bought the property in Scaly Mountain. It is perfectly legal for him to also vote there, as long as he votes from only one location at a time.
Note also how the article discusses, but down-plays the ‘former owner’ and neighbors talking with his family. They fail to name any names of people who could be contacted to clarify what is said. Don’t ever believe anything in the media from anonymous sources.
Thanks for the explanation.
