Have you tried Ensiferum or Brother of Metal? In an even more folksy direction there is Heilung, Wardruna, or even Myrkur

My favorite folk metal band is Korpiklaani (Finnish) but I really like Arkona (Russian), Eluveitie (Swiss), and Heidevolk (Dutch, iirc) If I dont understand the lyrics I just count the vocals as another instrument and drive on.
