Go big or go home...
There is so much you can get away with if you have a hardhat, a clipboard, and a safety vest. No one asks any questions.
I watch a guy on youtube “Camping with Steve”. He has regular simple camping videos, but the enjoyable ones are his “Stealth Camping” ones. The last one he did was in the center of a round-a-bout in some big city in Canada.
He had his safety vest and big orange bag like he was picking up litter. Then when traffic was absent he ducked into the small bushes of the round-a-bout and spent the night.
Another one he had his neighbor’s borrowed truck with emergency lights flashing. Set up right in the middle of a park. Put up scaffolding with tarps (his “tent”), a bunch of cones, etc. Even had his phone playing construction noises from inside of his tent! It was hilarious.
Some real city construction workers drove by and waved.
