It’s not a Beatles song, idiot.
Why didn’t you use Just Like Starting Over?
***********
Well, because it also has “Woman” in the title.
In my opinion there were four great songs on the 1980 Double Fantasy album

No, they weren’t.
I agree, no they weren't. The author has swallowed the lib Kool Aid and has never questioned the premises he's been fed.
He appears to be a millennial (LinkedIn had him in college 2001-2005), not that there aren’t genXers plenty capable of writing with that level of stupidity. I’d say he probably wasn’t yet born when John Lennon was killed.
Is he related to Irwin Corey?
In a perfect world Yoko would have stepped in front of John.
You say he is a Gen Xer, but if he was born in the mid-80s he’s be a millenial.
That one; “Woman” is a beautiful song as her performs it.
The other one: Woman is the N___” I have heard of it, but I don’t recall ever actually listening to the song itself.
Some of John’s late career hard rock and roll was harsh and not pleasant to listen to.
I recall seeing this LP for sale in record stores maybe a year after it was released, but when I saw the title, I wanted nothing to do with it. I bought “Houses of The Holy” by Led Zepplin instead. I enjoyed D’Yer Mak’er and other cuts.
What the difference? To my knowledge, the only one who ever noticed how bad that crap was, was Howard Stern!
Musically it is actually excellent!, that is, in this commenter’s opinion, having never actually heard it before today.
Lennon was extremely creative and was capable of expressing himself sharply and uniquely. Not necessarily endorsing his point of view at any given point in time, or as expressed in any particular song he wrote. But give the devil his due—his talent shines through. His music was and remains compelling.
His Aunt threw away a lot of his early poetry. Supposedly he never stopped seething about this
Absolute drek.
Have you been to Jamaica?
Yes. Montego Bay in the early 1980’s.
Also agree. Since when is there an era where anything deemed racist gets a pass?
Shakespeare? Washington? Jefferson? Nope.
John Lennon? Gimme a break.
I see today where even marijuana, the word, is racist.
IMO track for track Houses of the Holy was their best.
Really? The world has definitely gone to pot!
With Physical Grafitti a close second.
Kashmir alone is worth it, IMO.
The writer’s name is shown as Corey Irwin.
Am I the only one who remembers a comedian named
Dr. Irwin Corey? He was on TV a lot.
A parody of a Mad Scientist. Grade A Screwball.
