watched a number of seasons of Midsomer up to 21 or 23. I recall liking it in the beginning, then having it get real gory in the middle, then having them pull back on the in your face gore, and enjoying it more again.
Nice characters. If I recall personal best was 6 deaths in one episode in one village of ...400 souls?
I will pass this time. Gratuitous violence & nudity simply doesn’t make up for lousy acting.

Yeah, that incest scene caused me to just immediately turn the channel. Will no longer watch the series.
I’m not going to watch it but I am curious if Snow White gets gang banged or not.
It is accepted as mainstream entertainment now - shows like this and it predecessor normalized in “mainstream” programming. Shows like these have existed before, but their ratings were in the thousands and not marketed as mainstream. Now they are - they resurfaced and are on standard streaming services as normal programming.
