I was SICKENED when they were treated as ‘heroes’ when they returned to the US. They, or at least some of them, should have been put on trial. And while I don’t know everything about the P3, my guess is that a plane that spends virtually all its time over water does have the equipment needed for crew survival, should it go down. But then again, given our state of the military, they likely weren’t trained on how to use it (they replaced that with sexual harassment training).
