Great grandfather x2.
You guys may want to read “Empire of the Summer Moon: Quanah Parker and the Rise and Fall of the Comanches”.
Who is the famous great-grandfather?
Yep. Good clip
Might be ok for the 13-15 set.
I would not worry about it for the 16 and older group.
Should not be assigned for class work.
Blood Meridian is right out though.
Peta Nacona and Cynthia Parker had a son named Quanah. Quanah had a few wives. My bud is one of Quanah’s grandsons. Cannot ride a horse to save his life. Good salesman though.
Read that book already. Ely hates most of the books about his family.
Comanche are still around. They have just assimilated more than other tribes. Gonna PM you.
Tommy Lee Jones was no slouch, either...
I know dat’s right and he still lives in Texas!!
I loved “Lonesome Dove.” I read it in the summer of ‘92, taking my paperback out to the pool over a couple of weekends and reading at night before I fell asleep. Took me about two weeks and then I recommended it to all of my reading friends.
I admired McMurtry’s versatility as a fiction writer. He also wrote “The Last Picture Show” and “Terms of Endearment,” among many others. He was very adept at making his characters spring off the page and become your friends.
McMurty was accused of plagiarism from the auto biography by Andrew Garcia.
“A Tough Trip Through Paradise”
Good read for a young Spaniard kid. quite a bit on Chief Joseph too.
Though the book contains quite a bit of sexually explicit content, there was no discussion about whether the proposed legislation would also ban the Bible, which has already been challenged in one district.
/\
Neither the Bible
or the Book Lonesome Dove
has pornographic illustrations
or
how to instructions.
Spit.
