On the one hand, there is a lot of talk about hypergamy and women’s desire to always be trading Up and always seek a man who is tall, and fit, and rich, and successful. And there is always another man who is “a little bit more”, so drop the current one, and go chase that better one.

And, on the other hand, you have pretty young women chasing 13-year-old boys.

I don’t get it.

I think the flip begins when a power status is reached. Cougers for example, or sugar moma’s and women in positions of power who are probably vicariously living their fantasies out through abusing it.

Easy prey, I guess.

Some women are convinced that they men they really deserve are so few and are already taken, so they settle for what they can get.

Also, the decline of dating. She may not have much of a social life outside work.

Not trying to justify this, just trying to answer your quandary.
