Doctors in California who mail abortion pills to patients in other states will be protected from prosecution. Workers will receive more paid sick leave on the heels of a big year for labor. And companies can’t fire employees for using marijuana outside of work.

These are among the hundreds of laws that take effect Jan. 1 in the nation’s most populous state.

Each year, California Gov. Gavin Newsom signs hundreds of laws passed by the state Legislature. Most take effect Jan. 1 the following year. But sometimes lawmakers will delay a law’s effective date for a variety of reasons, including giving people more time to prepare for the new rules.

Some of the highest-profile bills passed by the Legislature in 2023 will not take effect until later. Fast food workers will get a minimum wage increase to $20 per hour on April 1. Health care workers are scheduled to see the first increases in their minimum wage on June 1. Laws requiring businesses to report their emissions and financial risks from climate change won’t take effect until 2026. …

So when a female has an adverse reaction to the abortion pill, what recourse does she have? Are liberals incapable of rational thought?

Making one’s thoughts as irrational as possible is a defining characteristic of a liberal.

“And companies can’t fire employees for using marijuana outside of work.”

So, if you’re a taxi driver or an airplane pilot, no problem if you smoke Marijuana about 5-10 minutes before you clock in?

“Laws requiring businesses to report their emissions and financial risks from climate change won’t take effect until 2026”

By 2026, will the state of California have any businesses left over?

Another great reason not to hire LGBTQ and less whining time production ensues.

Do you see how marijuana legalization affects many more people than those who just smoke it? This will be the case wherever it is legalized.

Yes, the lefties are so blinded by emotions that they lack the ability to think 🤔 rationally.

The likes of Newsom will never admit the policies he supports drives businesses from the state - My California town is awash in empty businesses - with none moving back in. Newsom will blame Republicans as he always does and the media will report it with a straight face.

What does Newsom care? He’ll move to Montana after he’s done driving out productive businesses and taxpayers - and replacing them with destitute illegals from the 3rd world - who now get, as of today, free medical, courtesy of whatever taxpayers are left in the state.

Regardless of the bozoness of CA law, they still need to abide by Federal laws.

Laws requiring businesses to report their emissions and financial risks from climate change won’t take effect until 2026

Well that's an easy one. If El Nino is big, it'll hurt. If the Earth warms up a bit, we'll be ok. Crop yields will improve, so we might make more $$! If the Earth cools more, our gas bill will go up.
