A brainwashed soldier, I mean mercenary. This is a perfect example of being so zealous for a cause that one cannot critically evaluate the overall landscape. He does not seem to grasp 2014 at all, and seems perfectly OK with the US military steamrolling around everywhere to accomplish questionable policies.
He is a soldier, not a mercenary, Ukraine does not use mercenaries.

He is or was serving with the AZOV brigade, one of the ultranationalist (nazi) formations that was sent to Avdeevka as a Hail Mary to hold some positions ( as they tried in Azovstal in Mariupol) or possibly to get rid of them as a power play by Zelensky to rid the military of a unit loyal to his rival, Zaluzhny.
The Russians hit them hard with missiles on their deployment base before they ever saw battle, killing 300-600 of them ….then hit them again at the same base when they retreated after failing or refusing to sacrifice themselves at the coke plant. No love lost for the nazi formations.
AZOV “ elites” have not had the mission of covering retreats, that is high grade propo. The nationalists are usually a barrier force, held back from the frontline to the rear of the fighting, executing Ukr troops that try to retreat or surrender.
When Syrsky recognized that units were leaving the battlefield on their own, even the AZOVs, he ordered a retreat to “ save lives” ( more like, save face)
It will be interesting to read from future reports how much of the AZOV brigade survived or is reconstituted.

Really? National Security? What about OUR borders and the hordes of third world slags invading it. This soldier says he's lived in California, Denver and North Carolina and loves the safety and security...blah, blah, blah.....
As for the veteran stuff, there are also 'veterans' here in the US who aren't for spending tax money on Ukraine over addressing our own border problems first.
