He says we eat our own here at FR, but I guess he does like some of us. Especially me! :-)

I didn't hear that part of Hannity but it seems to me that problems like Freepers "eating their young" can be taken care of with aggressive moderation. It's hard to find time to weed out all the wacko's in a place as big as this, though. From the parts I see Free Republic is as great as it ever was, in my opinion. You're always going to get some weird posts. I'm sure some people consider mine weird!

Here's a weird thing about Hannity I wonder about. It all starts back in the Clinton days. I wanted Congress to impeach Clinton for Treason, Rape, Filegate and Travelgate. But Newt Gingrich refused to allow the Treason and Rape charges to be brought up in Judiciary Committee Hearings. And I know many others were writing and requesting this. Mind you, this is not the actual impeachment, just the Judiciary Committee hearings. Why would Newt do this, I wondered?

Larry Flynt claimed that he was blackmailing members of Congress who were having affairs so they better shut up! But no, that could not be it, I thought. Finally, Newt Gingrich inexplicately resigned. Later we found out he was having an affair with a young staffer! Was he being blackmailed? The next House Speaker, Livingston, also refused Treason and Rape charges, also crashed and burned due to many affairs. Was he also being blackmailed? What about Dennis Hastert? Why did all three Speakers refuse to allow Treason and Rape charges to be explored in the Judiciary Committee Hearings? That is what I would like Sean Hannity to ask Newt Gingrich, Livingston or Dennis Hastert when any of them are on the show.

Maybe Hannity already asked and I didn't happen to hear it, though. Anyone know?

A middle school bus stop and an INTERNET website are exactly equivalent in the level of civility. Once you get past that and determine that the general consensus of a site isn't always set by the most prolific posters, you can begin to appreciate it.

Sean is a busy guy appearing in three media markets: TV, radio and print. Getting the real sense of what the mood is here isn't easily done in a ten minute visit four times a week.

If you are mentioned here, you are having an impact, even if half the comments are negative.

Good luck to him in his commentary efforts and good luck to us in our discussions of news article, research and activism.

I wondered why that thread was pulled, too. Yes, some people moaned about Sean because they are so much smarter than he is and they have so much better books out to read, but lots of us who love Hannity also posted.

I don't think JR would ban frank discussion about Sean, yea or nay.

There was also some talk about a woman who left FR and badmouthed it to Sean, and he on the air admitted that he had heard bad things about FR from this woman, or something roughly like that. Maybe the thread was pulled because of reference to this one woman? I still don't get it.

Oh well. Sean? You see how wrong you were. Most of us are your fans and are proud of the work you do. Very much so. Check out the poll.

The doggone choices on the "Hannity" survey were not focused on the right target, in my opinion...

Mostly, whether I like or dislike SEAN HANNITY is not really the point. I am tired of the shout-down, bullying format for the show. Volume is not equal to strength of the argument. The TV show is mostly a waste of air time, in my humble opinon. Hannity seems to taken his thin skin to the air waves, which is well within his purview. Tough.
