Let me preface, I am a life long Republican and strident conservative. I've suffered 8 years of Clinton, and 4 previous years of George H.W. Bush. Why the latter? Because the Father Bush was a wimp. Junior is the real man of the family, and is the first president in my lifetime (possible exception is R. Reagan) to take a stand was what this country is about, but no real conservative is brave enough to admit. Bush is finally saying "to hell with the liberals, the people will follow if I put it straight."
G.W. Bush is setting the stage for an America I've been dreaming about for at least 2 decades. Let me outline what American should be: - The rich get their due for leading in business, and politics: no taxes, and public money subsidies. - A widening separation between the classes. Poor, dumb people shouldn't mix with the upper class. Bush has done an excellent job for my friends and I. - The environment fears are a sham. Bush did right by getting out of Kyoto, and if he wants my respect, he should abolish the Clean Water Act, and Clean Air Act that Richard Nixon, of all people, created along with the EPA. New conservatism is about making money for the upperclass. Saving the environment cannot possibly help this goal. I don't give a damn if every bit of public land, forest, park, waterway is paved over with cement, as long as I've got a piece of the rental fees charged to the lower classes. - Bush will eventually bring down the Brady Bill, and insure guns in the hands of every law abiding American, especially the rich because if there every is an uprising of the poor, we will be well armed to fight them back down. - Abolish women's rights: who ever said Women had rights over their bodies anyway? Bush is on the right track again, with his judicial appointments, but he better hurry and get another "friendly" supreme court justice in there. - Patriot Act II must pass if Bush doesn't wimp out and cow to public opinion. What a joke! He has the Congress in his pocket, why doesn't he just force Pat II through? We need more government monitoring in place. If Bush wants to attribute it to terrorism, so be it. I just wish he'd come out and admit it: government needs to monitor its citizens. As long as you're one of the favored class, who cares what the other classes whine about. - Preemptive war is the only way, if American is to conquer the rest of the world worth conquering. Bush should get Congress to institute a "draft" of all fighting age men ... in the lower classes ... to attack the entire middle East and beyond.
To end, Bush has set a good example to start America's fight forward for achieving what Britain, France, Spain, couldn't: complete world domination for the Christian right of America. We are God's chosen, and we deserve the spoils of world war.
Let's pray that Bush continues his march in November, but let's also hope he honestly comes out with the truth about America, that we must be rulers of the world.
That script must be getting pretty tattered by now. How many times have you been here tonight?
