A Letter From LTC Benny White There will be a discussion in this country about whether John Kerry
No Pundit Intended ^ | 26 August 2004 | LTC Benny White

Ladies and Gentlemen:

I am sending this and the other Swift Boat Vets information to you as an individual, as a veteran of the Vietnam war and as someone who dearly loves this country.

The Swift Boat Vets have a new ad that will be up and running shortly. It features Steve Gardner. Steve was the Gunner's Mate on John Kerry's boat for two and a half months of Kerry's four month tour. Steve knows what happened and his version of events is different from Kerry's.

I personally support what the Swift Boat Vets are doing. I think they have every right under the First Amendment to make these statements and they will certainly be held accountable if they are untruthfully defaming Kerry.

I am thankful that these men decided to lay everything on the line once more for our country. Their professional lives and financial future are at risk if they are not telling the truth, and they are well aware of that. The people of this country need to know the nature of the man who will be the Commander-in-Chief of our military forces and these brave men are doing everything they can to inform us about John Kerry. The Swift Boat Veterans are the only group of veterans who have the organization, credibility and the knowledge to bring these charges against Kerry.

Prior to the election, there will be a discussion in this country about whether John Kerry aided and abetted the enemy during a time of war and whether his actions after his return from war, including his testimony before the Senate and his visits to Paris to meet with the North Vietnamese Communists, while he was still an officer in the Navy, amounted to treason.

You are starting to hear the Kerry supporters acknowledge that some of what the Swift Boat Vets are saying is true. They will eventually have to acknowledge more is true. They also say that John Kerry's anti-war actions were patriotic because the Vietnam war was an unjust war.

They say he was justified in violating the law because his intentions were honorable. John Kerry was an officer in the U.S. Navy when he did these things. He violated his oath. He will be held accountable for his actions.

The American people may decide that they hate George Bush so much that they prefer to have someone who committed treason as President rather than George Bush. I pray that does not happen, for the sake of the country.

I am as mad at John McCain as you are. I also wish the President would acknowledge that these men have a First Amendment right to express their opinion. Perhaps we should write the President a nice note expressing our opinion. Or then again, maybe a newspaper ad showing our support for the First Amendment and the Swift Boat Vets would be better.

Think about it a little and let me know what you want to do. If you would like to view the new ad, go to: Human Events Online If you would like to help the support the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth please go to SwiftVets.com and contribute. Thanks

I thought this paragraph very important:

Prior to the election, there will be a discussion in this country about whether John Kerry aided and abetted the enemy during a time of war and whether his actions after his return from war, including his testimony before the Senate and his visits to Paris to meet with the North Vietnamese Communists, while he was still an officer in the Navy, amounted to treason.

The SwiftBoats have awakened many Vietnam veterans.

This is not going to go away.

Reminds me of a quote about our founding fathers.

After seeing how effective the Swift Boat Vets For Truth have been in discrediting Kerry, I decided to donate an additional $100 tonite.

"He will be held accountable for his actions."

Godspeed the SBV and their message of truth. Unfortunately (and to my deep sorrow), however, Hanoi John will never be held accountable for his actions any more than King Bill was. These hyperwealthy elitist socialist-lib-dems are largely above the law. This has been proven too many times for me to believe otherwise. November and the months that follow will provide a glimpse of just how far above the law he is.

We can probably keep him from taking the Oval Office and destroying the country from the top in 2004. This is the most we can hope for and it seems do-able (unless even I am unrealistically optimistic and naive).

I am a Viet Nam Vet and a Republican who strongly supports President Bush.

What Kerry did in his 14 weeks in country is between him, God, and the other men who knew him then.

I have no dog in that fight.

To me it is what he did when he came home.

He slandered me and an entire generation of American Servicemen.

He could be a Republican and I would still say the same thing.

In my mind, that was when he became unfit. What he did then was treason.

Fregards, I read your posts when I can, keep it coming.

I have no doubt that Kerry committed treason. I still want to read for myself General Giap's statement that the anti-war protesters gave North Vietnam the strength they needed to continue. We wasted almost 60,000 American lives in Vietnam. It didn't have to be that way. Kerry by any interpretation aided and abetted the enemy.

By demoralizing this country and its leaders he played a significant part in our abandonment of Vietnam and the hundreds of thousands if not millions of deaths that followed. Vietnam the proper name for a country should also be a verb. We see that today when the uninformed, to be polite, are trying to Vietnam our effort in Iraq.

Kerry MUST be held accountable.

We need to get this out in the air and settle it. Millions of men and women were destroyed or injured by the Kerry-Monster.

We cannot allow the democrats to destroy ANOTHER GENERATION OF OUR MILITARY - THIS TIME IN IRAQ.

Iraq CONTINUES TO BE A JUST WAR .. 50 million people living in Freedom is more than justification. The dems "unjustifed war" statement is the same thing they said about Vietnam .. we cannot allow this to happen again.

And .. the Iraqi Soccer team does not have to fear coming home to be brutalized and tortured because they didn't win.

We need to make sure that he is not given the opportunity to do that again to another generation of our military.

Thank you for your service.

I hope not. It is not so much that I want to see Kerry destroyed, that is the icing.

The cake is the vindication these gentlemen want, need, and deserve. And I am helping them every chance I get. I mean to see that they get it.

I am so glad they are speaking up.

God bless 'em.

The anti-war movement was more than just Kerry, which is why the media is so biased.

I would bet that 90-95% of today's media were anti-war in the 60's. That's why I think they are fighting so hard for Kerry. Most got their deferments, either by teaching, Peace Corps, or school, etc.

They do not want to be shown for what they really were -- not just anti-war, but anti-American.

As a matter of formal punishment, you are probably right. But I want to see him exposed as the con-man that he is, and I want the public to come to grips with, and address, its unjustified mistreatment of veterans returning from the Vietnam war. Part of that process is for the public to understand that Kerry was not "just another war protester," his false testimony gave justification to the movement.

Kerry is not fit to hold any office of trust. He should be shunned by the voters, and fade out of public life.

Yeah, but we're waiting till he just starts thinking the purple heart issue has gone away and then...WHACK on the other side of the head. It's more fun this way.
