With the sure hand for snatching at defeat weve seen working ever since George W. Bush long ago alluded to all the accrued political capital he was going to spend on Social Security reform, the behind-the-scenes political savants of the Bush White House this Sunday gave the Times a story, which undoubtedly brought a smile to the face of every one of the presidents and the administrations adversaries from Berkeley to Babylon. All members of the Presidential staff members are going to be required this week to attend refresher lectures on ethics and the handling of classified material.
What could assure a more effective spirit of efficiency, enterprize, and elan in managing the affairs of a great nation than a mandatory corporate training lecture (out of Dilbert) on covering your hindquarters as priority number one?
What more could they possibly do to affirm the legal validity of the preposterous Plamegate investigation, aside from affixing Karl Roves head to a stake on the White House fence, and having the president appear on the porch barefoot and attired in sackcloth, wearing a sign around his neck bearing the inscription: Peccavi ?
The lecture on ethics ought to be scheduled for the firing of the CIA officials involved in policy war activities leading to the appointment of a special prosecutor, and the lecture on handling classified information for the arrest of the intelligence officials mentioned in last weeks Washington Post as sources for a report alleging the existence of top-secret Eastern European terrorist prison facilities
Shows how much of a dumb ass you are troll.
Have you ever worked for Uncle Sam.
Those are all annual training requirements.
How dull can you be?

If they weren't out of the ordinary, those training sessions would not have been ammunition for gloating in the Sunday Times, alas.
Same for every contractor doing business with the Federal Government. That basically means millions of people take an ethics class annually. You libs just don't undertsand how the REAL world operates. What's new.
I'm not sure that I accept your view that the government is the same thing as the real world.
And you may be right, and those ethics and classified material lectures may be something which happens automatically in the course of regular business, and not a sudden innovation. But if somebody really shrewd was White House Chief of Staff, he ought to be able to recognize the fun the New York Times could have with a story about this at the present time, and see to it that any such scheduling was not made available to the adversarial MSM.
And, finally, I am to the right of Attila the Hun politically, which is why you find me posting on Free Republic. If you read that screed of mine to the end, you'd see I was complaining that the Administration is not operating on offense, which is why I happen to think they are getting their clocks cleaned.
It's blog-pimping, but why do you think it's zot material?
I stand by my comment, as I always will. Libs operate in a fantasy world. Just look at France and the MSM coverage (or non-coverage)
The last paragraph, the gist.
Making routine procedures into something "special" that is done under this administration.
Clinton and the majority of his staffers did not have/could not get security clearances, so they stopped investigations for security clearances, the entire system, which is biting the military in the butt right now, wrt Arabic intel, classified disclosures, the Sand Burglar, Wen Ho Lee, the chinese contractors selling stealth to the chinese, most recently - last week.
Put the blame squarely where it falls, on CLintoon, wrt insecurity and improper handling of classified, and the entire security clearance empire.
TS clearances are taking up to 3 years to adjudicate vice 1-1/2 years pre-clinton and they are not going to individuals hometowns and doing interviews with neighbors, principles, or individual interviews/lie detector tests, as were formerly required.
98-99% of all the disclosures, hanky-panky,spy v spy crap happens in Washington DC.
30 Years ago, worked in a comm center, processing messages.
I would go to the library and read a NYT paper and see the messages I cut that were marked TS printed nearly verbatim in the NYT/Washington Post.
You tell me where the problem is.
Dont slime the current admin with deficiencies that have been existing in the bureacracy for 30 years and primarily in DC.
