Comedian and “Air America” radio host Al Franken was on NBC’s “Late Night with Conan O’Brien” last night, and took the opportunity to defame all three of America’s leading conservative media personalities. First, O’Brien set him up nicely by asking:
“I’m curious. How do your books sell compared to say the books by you know, Rush Limbaugh or O’Reilly? The books from the right, 'cause I know those, those are popular books, too.”
Franken’s response:
“The books from the right do okay. Uh, Rush hasn’t had a book in a long time. I think he had a, uh, drug problem, and probably…you know, it’s hard to write (laughter and applause)."

Al Franken is a steaming turd...
Part of me wonders why we waste time here discussing him...but then it dawned on me: Perhaps enough light on the little cockroach will make him run back under the refrigerator.
My husband and I love Conan - it is one of the few shows that makes us laugh - but I won't watch it when someone like Franken is on there. I wish people would stop giving him publicity, but I don't expect that to happen anytime soon.
Conan is as liberal as the rest of them, but he is not outright vicious or rude - I find him very clever and hilarious, actually. He does pander to his crowd, who seem to all be young college-aged New Yorkers. Not exactly the most conservative crowd.
Yeah, Al. Guess it's also hard to write with your head up your a$$ for most people, but somehow you manage it.
Well, unfortunately, Rush left himself wide open for this criticism and suffers the resultant loss of credibility. I like Rush but, sheeesh, was a mess he made for himself.

I just wish people would recall who sponsors those programs and give them a little of our opinions. Even Frankin and his supporters know that money talks or they wouldn't keep trying to get federal funding, "just to make it equal". No one wants to hear from them and the networks are all about money.
Hmmm, let's see, Rush has 20-30 MILLION listeners and Franken has 20 or 30. Who appeals to a wider audience?

Of course Rush hasn't had a book for a long time. He has a radio show that people actually listen to.
I find it so amusing to hear Franken bashing Hannity as well. Hannity has 400 stations and is #2 behind Rushin most of them. Franken can barely register on Arbitron and his co-host flew the coop like a rat off of a burning ship. Yep, you got talent, Franken. Too bad it ain't in radio.

Rush was put on prescription drugs by his doctor for intense pain. He became addicted to these drugs, which I would blame on the doctor, not on Rush. The same thing could happen to anyone. Rush went cold turkey, which also must have been painful, and is now off the drugs.
None of this would ever arisen if not for a slimy, crooked, lying Democrat prosecutor in Florida, much like the slimy, crooked, lying Democrat prosecutor who has gone after DeLay in Texas.
