I may be in the minority here, but Fitzgerald is doing a bang-up job here in Chicagoland. Personally I'm a pretty big fan of the guy.

When Sen. Fitzgerald (no relation) nominated him the local pols all screamed bloody murder, and I mean pols from both parties. That's usually an indication that someones doing something right, at least in the corrupt sinkhole of Illinois government.

Fitzgerald has a lot of irons in the fire right now. Once he sees old George Ryan off to the pokey, he's going to be tossing Chicago Dems into the can with both hands.

And that my friend will be a very good thing.

I'm not slamming Fitzgerald. He saw that there was no crime involved but I guess he figured he needed to come up with one lame indictment (which will go nowhere) to justify all the time and money spent on this non-case. Somehow I think he just wants to forget that he even wasted his time on basically...nothing.
