Which religion is it which gives the big thumbs up to premarital sex? How strong were this mans religious convictions when he impregnated a woman who was not his wife--or did she coerce him into that as well? You don't think it is at all possible that he pressured her to abort because he was ashamed at having impregnated her to begin with?

I think you have a good point here, but lewt's be clear: Christianity didn't cause this, exacerbate it, make the abortion more likely or ameliorate anyone's guilt in any way. The guy wussed out on his faith in more than one way, and both of these people did someothing any idiot could figure was wrong without the help of any religion.

I certainly did not mean to imply, in any way, that Christianity or ANY religion played a part in this couple's decision to abort their child...quite the opposite. When one begins to betray their faith (premarital or extramarital promiscuity), one sets their feet in a decidedly wrong direction. Look where it led in this case: Three deaths. This is not the fault of Christianity. This is the fault of those who turned their back on the Redeemer.
