Since reading Helen Andelin's book, Fascinating Womanhood, I feel like I was going through life blindfolded, and now, suddenly, I can see. Suddenly, I get it. Suddenly, men don't seem so incomprehensible anymore. Now, it seems obvious to me why things I was doing weren't working, and most important, what does work! I could dance for joy! I used to secretly wish I'd been born a man, but now I absolutely love being a woman.

Hi Froufrou...

It is scarey only because the idea of feminity is foreign to western women.

I'm not sure I agree with [the long post there] them on what femininity is. Acting childlike, IMHO, is like baby-talk to a little one, which is something I have never liked.

Umm...On that site there was a link to another article. WTF???

Here's a snip:

" If a woman appears to be doing stupid things on a regular basis, or if she just seems to feel the need for more discipline than you feel like giving her, what she is really saying is that she craves more dominant control. If this is the case, introducing ‘maintenance spankings’ might not be the answer, because it is not the spanking per se that she craves, but the dominant control. So it is worth thinking about additional, non-physical ways you could assert your authority. There are many ideas on Taken In Hand. Sometimes, focusing narrowly on spanking alone can cause it to lose its meaning and thus its power. Remember: for many women, the point is not the spanking per se but the dominant authority it represents. "

Oy vey. I have no interest in being a therapist to my husband. What kind of men does Helen know? I wonder.

I can only imagine my husband's reaction to baby-talk. Not to mention, mine.

One of the biggest problems today is the lying culture to women who say go ahead and give in to what a guy pressures you. But I can in all my study and observances and enormous amounts of research out there, that women who give into guys who bring the sexual to them outside of marriage are women who get played cheated on and divorced. I guess the bible was right after all! If a woman wants fulfillment in her marriage then marriage must be honored above all and I mean above all!!!! and she must find a man who honors marriage above all, this is a man of integrity!!! A man who honors and desires integrity is a man who honors marriage Gods way! The research and ciecumstances of our very cultures show this so overwhelmingly true!!!!
