I naturally agree with my fellow alum, Skinner.

If profanity is used too much, one simply shuts it off, and doesn’t pay any attention any more. It’s not only classless, but it’s useless.

I recall that during the scam that rocked the internet, the sensitive lad in DUmmieland was using so much of it that one just shut him out. It was not only tediously boring, but betrayed weakness; usually the stronger and more incessant the profanity, the weaker the argument, if any argument exists at all.

I’ve oftentimes read the idea that only a true Christian can truly blaspheme, because to a non-Christian (more appropriately, a Christianity-Hater), profanity is just words, but when a true Christian uses it, it has meaning.

By the way, today marks the end of the first quarter, of this session of Congress, temporarily controlled by the Democrats. One-fourth of this Congress is already gone, evaporated, time never to be retrieved again.

The Democrats, liberals, and neanderthalics in DUmmieland thought they would have some home-runs tucked under their belts by now, forgetting politics is football, not baseball.

At the end of this first quarter, it looks to me the score is George Bush 9, Democrats 0; all points gotten on field-goals, one of them an impressive 70+-yarder.

The Internet Content Filters at my workplace block DU and dKos for “Profanity”.

FreeRepublic, HotAir and CU are not blocked.

In general, people will refuse to consider whatever message is being conveyed, when the message is delivered in a foul-mouthed manner. Even Skinner realizes this.
