On the morning after Super Tuesday,
in a party running out of time
We've been run over by the Straight Talk Express,
and it feels like a crime.
He came out of the sun, on a strafing run
(the maver-icky John McCain).
Don't bother asking for explanations
he'll just tell you that he came...
In the year of the Rat
He doesn't have to answer questions,
he only says “You didn't serve.”
The Straight Talk Express (no one seems to notice)
is beginning to swerve!
While the Ex-press stalls and The Market falls,
and the pundits are all in a stew,
We've got no hope cause we're in an op-
en sewer running through..
The year of the Rat.
Well he comes on all so charmy
so the Sheep think he's their Favorite Son.
But he's really just as smarmy
as a dead fish rotting in the sun.
In the year of the Rat.
When November comes (if he's still with us)
and the other choices are all gone,
Even though he's not our choice for the ticket,
we know what has to be done.
Cause if we try to “punish the Pubbies,”
the whole country feels the pain.
And after all, we love our nation...
more than we loathe McCain
