Obama campaign co-chair Dick Durbin (D-Illinois) described Michelle Obama’s Republican critics’ afterlife as the “hottest ring in hell” for those who would attack Barack’s better half(?). It seems that Durbin has defined the Republicans’ third rail as Michelle (I love this country now, as I never have before, because my husband is a Presidential candidate) Obama.

If Mrs. Obama injects herself into the POTUS election process and makes speeches and appearances on syndicated TV shows and expresses her views and opinions, she is fair game.
Conversely, virtually no one bashes Laura Bush because she never says anything controversial. Never.
The Democrats are scared to death that Mrs. Obama, who appears to have a bit of an edge to her, might just say something that would put her husband right up the creek.
Michelle is Hussein’s third rail.
The media is lining up to discredit everything Republican—with a vengeance.
Since when do we take advice from Dick Durbin, or have any regard whatsoever, for anything he says, other than to usewhta he says the butt of jokes?
Dems can’t take back her previous statements, so now are trying to rehabilitate her and create sympathy for the general election. “Whitey” video rumor a fake, and therefore, will be used to say “see how many people are willing to smear her?”
I see they already starting to remake that vile woman.

Amen. Durbin is just another whore auditioning for a nice appointment. And, you’re right, he doesn’t get to decide what is or isn’t a third rail.
