Oh my goodness...from the last line of the article:

In the summer of August 2006, blogging on the Daily Kos, opendna aka Jay McKinnon, showing off his DHS-derived knowledge, discusses discusses under the heading of “The Perfect ID Card” the ease of forging US documents, birth certificates in particular:

“Most Americans have worse ID than illegal immigrants. So, you have a letter from a notary that says you told him you’re a citizen. Is that supposed to mean something? I’m certain he would sign one saying I told him I’m a carrot. Birth certificates, are you serious? Take a look at yours. Chances are I could counterfeit it at Kinkos.”

Let me be the first to say, and I base this BTW from what I remember of the 60’s and 70’s,this country will change leadership 2 maybe 3 times within the next 4 years. Health problems, political or marital scandals, race riots, energy or biological crisis, terrorist attacks or even assassination plots, this country is headed for some very volatile times.Four years from now JM, BHO, or HRC will not even be in the headlines, just my 2 cents worth.

For once, I see the shadow of a Clinton and am *almost* pleased about it.

What a set-up. Obama may be down for the count with this.

Gonna come back to bite us in the a*s....bigtime; well, maybe not so "bigtime", because the only place this story has any kind of legs is here on FReep.

Unless something much, much more solid comes of this theory, this place is going to look damn foolish.

But, what the hell - I've done my bit with mods the past few days, but they let this silliness run on and on and on.

Sheesh, Jim.

Obama provides details of his birth weight in Dreams From My Father; “Hm. Well, my mother told me as a kid what my birthweight was (9 pounds 15 ounces), and I remembered it from that. I don’t remember seeing a copy of my birth certificate until I was 15 and getting my learner’s permit, and I didn’t look at the birth weight section. I’m 43, and I couldn’t tell you where the birth weight section on my birth certificate is–I just remember that it’s on green paper…” If this is true why isn’t the birth weight recorded on a Hawaiian Birth Certificate? This calls in to question exactly what document was he looking at?

Maybe his original Birth Certificate is from Kenya and his mother flew in back to Hawaii because the laws in 1961 in Hawaii. Perhaps what he has is the easy obtainable “Late” Certificate of Birth. The Certificate of Hawaiian Birth program was established in 1911, during the territorial era, to register a person born in Hawaii who was one year old or older and whose birth had not been previously registered in Hawaii. The Certificate of Hawaiian Birth Program was terminated in 1972, during the statehood era. “Who is Eligible to “Apply for Late Registration? As provided by law (HRS §§338-15, 338-29.5), the following persons may apply for late registration: Any person born in Hawaii who is one year old or older and whose birth has not been previously registered in Hawaii, or that person’s parent, guardian, next of kin, or older person acting for that person and having knowledge of the facts of birth may request the registration of a late certificate of birth.” What I find curious is under the law you can apply for one of these years after the birth as long as someone has knowledge of the facts of birth. After reading this I am wondering if Obama was really born in Hawaii if all that was needed was his mother’s say so. He could have easily been born in Kenya, brought back to the US and applied for a LATE Certificate.

“Trust but Verify???”

Jim, we could go all day with this...;-)

But at the end of the day, does this hold water???

Two things could happen...

One, this is true and he is not able to take office, even if he wins the election...

Two, Hillary is asked by the democrat party to take the nomination, and make a weak attempt to rally the party and lose to McCain...To which she obviously doesn’t match up too well against...

I’m torn between these two possibilities...

If there are more out there, I’m game to listen...

This is actually kinda fun...

But don’t blame me, I voted for Fred...;-)

"Fake, but accurate."

Jim, how about sharing that sentiment with your Admin Moderators, one of which told us to quit posting that Hussein Bin Obama isn't a citizen.

This is one issue that can legally torpedo Obama. One that could be solved with a minimal fee to request an official birth certificate from the county recorder's office where he was born. His inability to do this simple act to prove his native born eligibility implies he is not eligible and is trying all manner of distractions to avoid the issue.
