Agree, he needs to learn responsibility ... starting NOW, since it is evidently lax up to this point.
The Mother should keep the child and raise the baby with the help of her parents (possibly). For sure I wouldn't want the boys parents around ... with out adult supervision.

It says nothing about the girls family and the boys Mom seems a bit over bearing at this point. All the facts haven’t been told in this story.
