A fellow freeper emailed the following message to me tonight:
Is it possible that you can do me a big favor? I some how got logged out of all my forums the other day. I got back into them all except Free Republic. I have requested my password several times and it has never come. My friend in another state is having the same problem and a friend in another state signed up better never got the confirmation email.
We have also email them and gotten no response. Something must be wrong with the site. Would you mind putting up a post in the blog section from me saying this? I am hoping the mods will see it or that one of the readers knows them personally. My log in name there is Exposing Islam, I am not sure if it is one or two words though.
I’m not sure what else can be done to notify the website administrators other than putting up this post here.
When I had joined I did not receive a password. I emailed Jim and he sent one out. Try emailing Jim.
I downloaded an XP Service pack and my computer crashed BIG TIME, I lost all my bookmarks and naturally I cannot remember my password for my name Eye of Unk here at FR, I too asked for the password but no replies, I did get lucky with the password of my old name when I joined in 2003.
Are they sure the pw didn’t go to a spam inbox?
If you use firefox, you can still find your passwords.
No such luck, I used the HP Recovery and basically it took it back to like the day I bought it a couple of years ago, Firefox did not show anything at all, I had to completely start all over. I swear its Microsoft’s revenge for XP users who refuse to use Vista.
I signed up long before I ever posted because I couldn’t remember my password. I did request it several times and neve got it. Then one day did it again and then decided checked my spam box and there it was. I think I was getting it all along but since I wasn’t looking in the spam....?

I have tried to get info on changing my screen name several times asking Jim Robinson, admin adminstrator, and asking in posts. Nobody seems to known how and I get no answers. I just gave up. IF ANYONE KNOWS PLEASE SEND PRIVATE REPLY>> I did get one reply, but it was somewhat insulting with no benefit whatsoever. Thanks.
This my second time around FreeRepublic.
What I had done was ask Jim Robinson to kill my account-> stylin19 (I couldn’t stay off FreeRepublic), which he did.
Awhile later I just re-applied with a new screen name.
