Q: What is the difference between Barack Obama's friend Bill Ayers of the Weathermen, and Osama bin Laden and Timothy McVeigh?
A: Thanks to a combination of incompetence--the Weathermen tended to blow themselves up with their own bombs--and luck on the part of any potential victims, Ayers did not actually manage to kill anybody. Otherwise, it is hard to identify any difference because planting a bomb almost automatically puts innocent people at risk. (The Left can relate to this because, when the French Navy mined the "Rainbow Warrior," it tried to get the crew to leave the ship first. A photographer was, however, killed anyway.)
For the Left: What is the difference between Barack Obama's friend Bill Ayers of the Weathermen, and the French agents who mined the "Rainbow Warrior?"
A: Unlike Ayers, the French made deliberate efforts (admittedly unsuccessful) to avoid harm to innocent bystanders.

The difference between Ayers and McVeigh? I would say military training.
There is a good possibility that Ayers’ wife Bernadine Dohrn, killed a San Francisco policeman and blinded another in a bomb explosion at their station.
The evidence is circumstantial (fingerprints on bombmaking equipment) and second-hear testimony, but both are hardcore communist terrorists and always will be.
