The best way to avoid shock and demoralization from a repeat of the 2004 exit poll nightmare is to expect it again this year and ignore it.
Remember that pleasant afternoon on Election Day 2004 when the exit polls were leaked showing a Kerry blowout in the making? Politico.
More recently, in 2004, exit poll data that began circulating early in the afternoon led to short-lived Democratic elation and deep Republican anxiety. By evening, some of President George W. Bushs key strategists were frantic, emailing reporters at polling organizations to better understand the gap between what they were finding on their own and what the leaked exit polls indicated. . . .
In the end, Kerrys vote was overstated in 26 states. The same was true for Bush in four states, according to a detailed post election analysis by Edison Media Research and Mitofsky International, who administer the exit poll for the NEP.
I remember listening to Hannity at about 4:00 PM Eastern that day. He was riding at the head of the pack with his sword out and yelling for everyone to ignore the exit polls and get the hell out there and vote.
Look, the libs were even cheating against the kinda-libs in the primaries. You will be shocked to hear that the exit polls actually overstated Obama's support against Hillary.
Respected polling analyst Mark Blumenthal found that during the Democratic primaries this year, preliminary exit polls overestimated Obama's strength in 18 of 20 states, by an average error of 7 percentage points, based on leaked early results.

Surely the GOP will run ads a couple of days before the election warning its voters of this dirty msm trick...
Turn off the cable news networks. They are lying and will not stop. You’re not missing anything by hearing a report you’ve seen 100 times before about xyz.
I remember on election day 2004, Rush was telling his listening audience to disregard the bogus exit polls that were there to supress Republican turnout at the polls “it’s already lost, blah blah blah”.
Within the first 7 minutes of the east coast polls closing, it was clear how wrong the numbers had been.
Don’t forget Rather calling the vote to suppress Rep voters in the Panhandle in 2000:
TERENCE SMITH: What do you think as you look back on it? What went wrong and what should be different?
DAN RATHER: Well, first, we made mistakes, and we need to be accountable and responsible for those mistakes. We need to explain the people, and I think we have, we’ve certainly tried to explain what happened, how it happened, why it happened and what steps we’re taking to do the best we can to keep it from happening again. Having said that, I want to make sure that people understand that I’ve been in the business long enough to know we can’t do it perfectly. There is no way to do it perfectly. We can do it better. We called some places too soon on election night. We did not say often enough— well, we did say, but not often enough, “Look, these are our estimates. We think they’re valid, but you have to take them as estimates, and nothing is certain until the votes are counted.” We didn’t say that often enough.
The lying thug......
Play some nice cd music on your car, don’t listen to ANYBODY - just get out and vote early, encourage others to vote and drive friends over to their voting place if need be.
