The younger generation will not get it. I just asked one girl in a coffee shop....she thought Vichy was a pastry.

Yep. One time, I asked the girl at the Marriott reception desk directions to an Iwo Jima memorial nearby and she had never heard of Iwo Jima nor did she understand it's significance.

I talked the other day to a kid going to get his post grad in economics. He didn’t know, and never heard of My Lai.

This is the sad state of our teaching and schools. History has been subverted into leftist propaganda in most of our public schools and colleges. How can the younger generation understand history if it isn’t really taught and when it is—its all about leftist agendas. Fact. American High School US history text mentions the KKK 27 times, Thomas Edison None.
