"60 Minutes" Barney Frank lovefest was in full fear on December 14th in its profile of the voluble of the House Banking Committee - portraying Frank as the irascible but lovable public servant who is working 24/7 to save the planet from the financial crisis. What is skated over is Frank's complicity in its origins, his former partner who was knee deep at Fannie Mae and Frank's little episode with a prostitution ring being run out of his domicile - which of course, he didn't know about - as if any other politician would get away with that jive.
Yeah, I saw that. He was described as most intelligent and hard working. Frank might describe himself that way, but I’ve never heard anyone else do it. It was in fact just a commercial for Barney Frank, what a laugh. How can 60 Minutes be taken seriously when they run junk like that.
tell me that we don’t have the equivalent of
pravda in this country.
Of course they love Barney Frank. He’s a far left Democrat who is gay. He can do no wrong in the eyes of the MSM.

It’s been truly amazing how Barney Fwank and Chris Dodd have made their triumphal tour of the media—proclaiming themselves the heroes of the hour—jowls aquiver in righteous indignation at all the outrageous corporate corruption and Bush incompetence... And how the various MSM organs have eagerly allowed themselves to be fellated by them into spurting out praise.
Sadly, yes they do. Unfortunately, the big broadcast networks and a handful of newspapers still COMPLETELY control what most people regard as news. Their grip is slipping on their monopoly, but not quickly enough - probably not enough to keep Barry from being re-elected.

I was never a fan of the hugely over-rated, “tough” Mike Wallace and his embarrasingly obvious double-standard when it came to his “reporting”.

A couple years ago, my youngest son (10 at the time) & I were driving back from a Padres game and we stopped off for gas in Northern San Diego county. It was late at night and the only other person getting gas was Pete Carroll.
My son, who is a huge USC fan , recognized Carroll and went up to talk to him. Coach Carroll talked to my son for quite a long time with such ease and enthusiasm. It was pretty impressive and you can see why he does so well on the recruiting trail.
We should all be so lucky to have sinanju's way with words.

I watched some of it. I was waiting on a post-game follow up after the Steelers clinched the AFC North title. After about 10 seconds I realized it was actually 60 minuets instead of a preview for 60 Minuets and changed the channel. The 10 seconds I saw was absolutley absurd, an informercial promoting Barny Frank.
