Many of us have been contacting President Bush, over and over again, to pardon or commute the sentences of Ramos and Compean.
Davila, the drug dealer got less time than our border patrol agents. The families of these men are suffering, as well as the men.
So let's contact VP Cheney and ask him to use his influence and hopefully convince Bush to let these men go free!
Here's his email:
Vice President Richard Cheney: vice_president@whitehouse.gov
If you're a good talker, call talk shows and get radio listeners to contact President Bush, and VP Cheney.
Sutton got a two-fer. He prosecuted the drug-smuggler Davila and R/C. In front of the same judge, if memory serves . . . .
What Sutton and Bush have done is very disturbing.
The Obama administration will be soft on fighting terrorism, and the harsh punishment of Ramos and Compean will cause future border patrol agents to be afraid do their job effectively, even when it comes to stopping terrorists.
Bush just HAS to release these border agents, but it will take a LOT of noise for that to happen. We stopped amnesty, and got good SCOTUS judges, but it takes a lot of people who care to make a difference, including talk show host(ess)s.
Part of my email from ConservativeAlerts.com:
“Even with the mountain of evidence that these two innocent Border Patrol agents were wrongfully convicted, President Bush isn’t going to give them the full pardon that they deserve before he leaves office — unless WE, the people, demand that it happen!
As Rep. Dana Rohrabacher (R-CA) has noted, “Unjustly convicted Border Patrol Agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean are currently serving 11- and 12-year prison terms, respectively, for shooting and wounding an admitted illegal alien drug smuggler whom they interdicted while he was smuggling $1 million worth of drugs into the United States. Inexplicably, Western district of Texas U.S. Attorney Johnny Sutton took the word of the drug smuggler and decided to throw the book at the Border Patrol agents, turning procedural mistakes into felonies.”
President Bush has openly stated to the media that he’s “not going to promise” to issue a pardon for Border Patrol agents Ramos and Compean, who were wrongly convicted simply because they were actually doing their jobs protecting our borders from illegal aliens and drug smugglers.
You know that there is something SERIOUSLY WRONG with our “justice” system when a Mexican drug smuggler is given immunity from prosecution for trying to smuggle drugs the day he was shot — and is then arrested AGAIN for smuggling MORE drugs!
Border Patrol agents have a difficult and often dangerous job in guarding our nation’s borders. But the danger shouldn’t come from our own government!”
Dear Mr. Vice President,
Time is running out, and we need to have the two border patrol agents pardoned. They were only trying to defend little old ladies like me. Please do the right thing and talk to your superior and get a pardon for both men.
Sincerely,
Thank you!
What about Gov. Perry?
Couldn't he pardon them?
What about Gov. Perry?
Couldn’t he pardon them?
For what?...... They were convicted under Federal Statutes and sentenced under Federal Sentencing guidelines enacted by Congress. Where is Congress in all this crap?
“What about Gov. Perry?
Couldn’t he pardon them?”
I really don’t know. Maybe someone else does.
Anyone?
Many Rats and Republicans support heavy immigration, legal or not, from poor countries, because their supporters in big business want it so as to keep wages as low as possible.
This whole situation is VERY strange. It sounds like a set-up. Davila is in Mexico, but Sutton gives him immunity to come back and convict Ramos and Compean.
Then the jurors weren’t allowed to hear all of the evidence. Some jurors said that they would have decided differently IF they heard all of the evidence.
BUMP
Phyllis Schlafly:
“The severity of these charges and the harshness of the punishment are totally disproportionate to the violation in question. Even the illegal drug smuggler, Osvaldo Aldrete-Davila, was sentenced to less prison time than our fellow American border guards!”
Congressman Tom Tancredo:
“These are the kinds of men whose government failed and destroyed them - all while they were serving a cause greater than themselves. These men deserve justice. I, and many other members of Congress, have repeatedly called upon President Bush to exercise his power to pardon - but he has not done so.”
13 days left until President Bush leaves office.
To get Bush to pardon these two men we only need to find out how much Bush and the rest of his prostitutes were paid to pardon the cocaine dealer caught with 32 pounds pure concaine, then double the amount and pay it.
I don’t know if Bush will pardon them, but he might at least commute their sentence for time served.
We have to try.
Kudos to Duncan Hunter, Rep. Dana Rohrabacher and Tom Tancredo for working so hard to release these men!
Maybe something they did will open President Bush’s heart, and he will pardon them, or at least commute their sentence.
Thanks.
Pro 21:1 The king’s heart [is] in the hand of the LORD, [as] the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will.

Countdown: It’s now six days until President Bush leaves.
