Here is video of the British Business Secretary, Lord Mandelson, being hit in the face with "green custard" as he arrived for a Low Carbon Economy Summit in London. The woman who threw the green slime at him was protesting the expansion of Heathrow Airport. Below is Lord Mandelson reacting to being hit in the face. He said he was still "intact." The former deputy Prime Minister John Prescott’s response to being egged in the face by another protester a few years ago was considerably less refined. He belted him in the face and they started brawling until they were pulled apart by aides.
I love the fact that in Britain we still have more leeway to show disrespect to politicians. In America, she’d probably have been shot dead or had her bones broken for displaying such lese majestie and punished to the fullest extent of the law...
