I too believe the republicans have betrayed this country and damaged the label. I simply dont trust them. They stand for nothing but their own reelection and power. I think it's possible we'll see a new political party to replace them.
Why not call it the "Tea Party", ala the protests sweeping this country?
In the early 1990s Italy had their “Tangenti Scandal”. At one point over 1/3 of the Italian parliament was under indictment along with thousands of other corrupt officials. Dozens of members of parliament were marched off to jail. Most of the major political parties were simply swept away and replaced by new entities with new leaders.
We need something like that to happen here.

I'd love to see the day when every person serving in every elected position in this country, is thrown out and forbidden from serving in elected office again.
