ISRA alerts about Wheaton gun control effort Illinois State Rifle Association is concerned about an event Tuesday evening in Wheaton. The California-based anti-gun group, Legal Community Against Violence, will be holding a gun control forum in Wheaton, IL, on Tuesday, April 21st. The purpose of the forum will be to blame law-abiding gun owners for criminal violence and spread lies about private firearm ownership.
During this forum, the anti-gunners will do the following:
They will blame you, the law-abiding firearm owner, for the Columbine murders!
They will blame you, the law-abiding firearm owner, for the Virginia Tech murders!
B They will blame you, the law-abiding firearm owner, for all the kids getting murdered by gang bangers, thugs, perverts, and psychopaths!
They will insist that you, the law-abiding firearm owner, must pay the price for violent crime by giving up your guns and giving up your rights!
HERE IS WHAT YOU NEED TO DO TO STAND UP FOR YOUR RIGHTS
1. Make your voice heard by attending this antigun forum: WHEN: Tuesday, April 21, 2009. 7:00 PM. WHERE: Wheaton (Illinois) City Hall, Council Chambers, 303 West Wesley Street, Wheaton, IL . If you can, be sure to bring your spouse with you!
2. If you still have your iGOLD t-shirts or hats, wear them. If you have NRA or ISRA hats, wear them. DO NOT bring signs or other items that might get you kicked out before this thing gets under way.
3. The agenda for the forum includes a question and answer session. Be prepared to ask the panel questions regarding why they want to take your guns away. Also, be prepared to ask the panel members what their experience is with guns; whether they ever owned a gun; whether they can tell you what makes an AK-47 or AR-15 so “deadly.” Ask them why they are so better qualified to decide what is best for gun owners than gun owners are.
4. If you see members of the press at the forum, walk over to them and tell them you want to be interviewed. Be prepared to vigorously defend your gun rights.
5. Please pass this alert on to all your gun owning friends and encourage them to attend the anti-gun forum on Tuesday night.
6. Please post this alert to any and all Internet bulletin boards or blogs to which you belong.
REMEMBER – ONLY YOU CAN PROTECT YOUR GUN RIGHTS FROM THE LIES AND DISTORTIONS SPEWED BY THE ANTIGUNNERS!

Wow. That’s where I went to college. Used to be a really conservative town. Saw Barry Goldwater’s first campaign stop outside his home state there in ‘64. Strange this meeting should be held there. A sign of the times?
First in Wheaton. Then they’re coming for you.
But it's moving left, and already has. The city just elected a few new Democrats to the city offices 13 days ago, and registration numbers have been slanting left for a while. Minorities have moved to Wheaton in greater numbers in the last generation because of the world-class public schools - bringing along with them their straight-ticket Democrat ballots and 100% turnout.
District Six, once Hyde's safe district, now sees large doses of DNC money every election as a targeted seat for takeover. Within 10 years, it will be a Democrat seat.
Dupage County voted Obama over McCain. The first time DuPage went Democrat in my lifetime.
Wheaton College is now 3-1 Dems to GOPers in faculty, according to their own internal surveys. It went left, literally, in about a fast ten-year span. The once required code-of-conduct agreements for Wheaton College have been marginalized, and will soon be removed altogether.
They have expanded their multicultural departments, and are openly seeking secular professors for positions, having recently undergone controversy for hiring professors who openly defied the written theological code of the college.
They invite Gay organizations to speak and debate. Cycle riders, if you remember.......
Alas, DuPage and Wheaton are soon to be new Democrats strongholds. Why? Because you know what people do who move from the city to Wheaton for it's world-class schools, nonexistent crime rate, and great standard of living? That's right - they fire everybody. Vote everyone out, and replace them with Democrats. They move from the city, then try to turn Wheaton into the city.
I grew up in Wheaton, and two family members attended Wheaton College. It is in a full-swing left turn.
I'll be gone by the time they get here.
NOTE: The 2nd Amendment is SELF-incorporated to all government entities at every level. It is MORE ABSOLUTE than the 1st Amendment, or any of the others, because the wording forbids not only CONGRESS, but ANYONE from infringing on it. The 1st says “Congress shall make no law...”.
