Can Anyone Help: How Do I Post Links on a Word Press blog? (Vanity)

Can anyone educate me on how to make links in Word Press? I swear this is worse than algebra. I am stumped. I just want to be able to post a column & then link to other articles as references. The instructions I have found look like calculus.

Anyone able to explain it to one as clueless as I? Thanks!

you can either embed the links using html, or use the WYSIWYG setting on the dashboard and just cut and paste.
