Someone sent this video to me as a means to saying Romney isn't a "real conservative." I'm curious to see if any of you agree with this analysis, and why. Please post your thoughts directly on the blog in response to this post.

I don’t care at all about what Romney may have said or believed back in 1994. I know what he is today, and I saw what a puss he was during the 2008 election. Sorry, he’s done.

For those of you who are painfully unaware, I regularly post on this site. Every day, I offer a long list of news stories and opinion articles conservatives should digg. God forbid I should want to foster discussion on my site as well...
We are on this site to discuss issues here, not on another site.

I actually watched that debate live in 1994, back when I lived in Massachusetts.
I’m not going to watch it again, but my impressions at the time were:
a) Romney was a lot better as a candidate for Senate than the famously disgusting Teddy Kennedy.
b) Kennedy was absolutely despicable and ruthless in his misrepresentation of Romney’s statements and record. I think he was afraid but maybe not, he’s a genuine sociopath.
c) Romney didn’t have the political experience or the willingness to jump into the filthy pigsty with Teddy Kennedy, which was what really destroyed him.
d) Kennedy won the “debate,” but not on the merits.
e) Massachusetts is full to the brim with sickos who repeatedly elect shameless liars, habitual drunks, and notorious perverts to low, medium, and high office. It’s some kind of demented self flaggelation.
I left Massachusetts forever in January 1995.
I was unaware that it was impossible to do both. I wonder what would happen to every other conservative outlet should the entire conservative base share your narrow understanding of how the internet works... I doubt we’d have very much to discuss.
Pimping your blog is not having a “discussion”.

Trying to drive discussion to a blog that’s pumped out hundreds of posts of conservative content is not “pimping.” I regularly contribute to this site. There’s no founding for your disrespect.
By the way I don’t think there’s anything at all wrong with your post, and the dismissive one-liners are just a normal part of the FR melieu.
NO, you regularly PIMP YOUR BLOG on FR. Now, you not only want to pimp your blog, you want FReepers to start posting to your blog (which is very different from asking FReepers to FReep a poll on a BONA FIDE news website).
But, in answer to your question, Myth Romney is a liberal socialist who pushes abortion and homosexual marriage. But if you REALLY posted here, you would be well aware that this topic has been covered regularly for the past two and a half years.
