Hello Freepers! Here is an ACTIVISM UPDATE FROM JOHN ZIEGLER!

****

Dear John Ziegler/Media Malpractice Mailing List Members:

I just wanted to let you know that will be back on the radio from my Alaskan vacation this coming Monday, August 10th for what promises to be an interesting show.

At that time I will tell the full story behind me replacing Sarah Palin as the speaker at the August 8th event at the Reagan Library.

If you live in Southern California you can listen live (11 am-1pm) on 1260 (LA) or 540 (OC/San Diego) am.

If you live elsewhere you can listen via live streaming and programming and archived podcasting.

Also, in Southern California we will be doing a special screening of my film "Media Malpractice" at the amazing Hemet Theater in Hemet on Saturday, August 15th at 7 pm. I will be there to host a post screening q and a and sign copies of the film.

Tickets for the screening are only 5 dollars (what a deal!) and can be purchased online here.

If you haven't yet gotten the highly acclaimed film, you can do so here. Please use the discount code FDL to get 50 percent off the original price.

Thanks, as always, for your support.

All the best
John Ziegler

Reagan was never a quitter, reason enough.

She seems to be the designated speaker at events, only to withdraw, a lot.

Ah, the real story is Sarah never planned on attending the event, as was confirmed by her spokesperson. It was a rumor started on the net, likely here on FR.

I found this on freerepublic and liked the response so well, I copied it. I can't credit the originator because I forgot who it was. Anyway, it seems a perfect response to your "quitter" remark:

I have posted this once before, and will continue to do so, whenever Sarah is attacked. Especially for not having enough experience to be VP, or President, OR for being a ‘quitter’.......which is preposterous.

Woodrow Wilson and Grover Cleveland were both elected PRESIDENT of the US, and were two year governors.

Another governor who hadn't completed his term, was asked to run for VP with his party's nominee. He declined. His party forced him to take the VP position. His party won the election. McKinley was tragically assassinated, and Teddy Roosevelt (another moose hunter) became one of our greatest Presidents...

One more thing. Obama was elected to the US Senate. He served 141 days and then began running for President. Didn't he owe a full term to the people of Illinois?

So stop it with the quitter stuff, you sound like a liberal.

Reagan was never a quitter, reason enough.

Reagan was never being sued toward bankruptcy by leftist thugs. Nor were his children called whores and retards.

Palin is not a quitter. She did what was best for her family.

John Ziegler is a a former talk show host on the legendary KFI radio (AM 640) in Los Angeles, So Cal's main broadcaster of Rush and Dr. Laura.

In my opinion, Ziegler is in the same league as Rush Limbaugh and Mark Levin. He is very skilled in the arena of being a talk show host, and is original and authentic and meets my admittedly finicky standards for genuine conservatism. (Another host to watch for in this department, if he ever gets another radio show, is Larry Elder -- I'd add him to that short list if he had a show -- he was fired from KABC in L.A. shortly after Ziegler was fired from KFI, whose other mainstay local hosts, Bill Handel and John & Ken, are faux conservatives at best. Peasing their listeners seems their primary motivation; grasping, teaching, and promoting conservative principle in action flies over their heads).

Hannity, Ingraham, Hewitt, Savage, Medved, Dennis Miller ... I gave them all more than many chances as a listener; they have so often disappointed me in their weak grasp of what I consider real conservatism that I only listen to them as a last resort, though Dennis Miller is a bit of a different animal and I'll continue to give him a lot of slack.

Rush, in the nearly 20 years I've been listening to him, has rung true every time -- I've never heard take a position that was, to me, contrary to conservatism, and the same goes for Levin -- and Ziegler. All three ring true every time.

Who and when?? Any links??

It was a rumor started on the net, likely here on FR.

It was certainly circulated widely the past few weeks including news that only guests would be allowed; no reporters. Rumors have legs, but this one was not "shot down" until now, as far as I know. And Ziegler who is a FReeper (or someone with his screen name) is only ginning up the story for his own purposes, i.e. his radio show.

From Ziegler's mailer..........

I will tell the full story behind me replacing Sarah Palin as the speaker at the August 8th event at the Reagan Library.

Ziegler is asserting that Palin was, at some point, the scheduled speaker. He can't very well "replace" someone who was never in place to begin with.

I’ve never seen Rush or Mark Levin hype a story like this guy is doing. Hannity for his shows, mostly Fox News.

And because she folded, the liberals will now use those exact same tactics against every up and coming conservative, especially if they are female. When females stop coming forward for prominent conservative positions, the liberals will point to that to say conservatives are not inclusive. Nothing like giving ammunition to your enemies.

Reagan was never a quitter, reason enough.

Sarah did not quit, she reloaded. Simple as that. She is doing what she thinks she can do the most good for the most people, including the people of Alaska. Calling that quiting is a gross distortion of the truth.

Easy to say from behind your computer. I wonder how you would have handled being in her shoes during the non-stop vile attacks on her family?
