Here is video of Blue Dog Arkansas Democrat Mike Ross receiving a standing ovation at a Town Hall Meeting because he said he "stood up to President Obama and Nancy Pelosi" and won a delay on voting on the Health Care Reform legislation until at least Sepember.
Ross was mostly applauded by the crowd for delaying action on the bill. He advocated letting people speak, even shout if they want to, because "this is America."
This has to be a disturbing sign to President Obama and other Democrat leaders. Here is a Democrat touting his "standing up to Obama" when he is back home among his constituents. Expect to see more of this as the 2010 Elections draw near. It will become more and more difficult for this President to keep members of his own party in line, which could have huge implications for his agenda. . . . . . (Watch Video)

Tea parties, blue dogs and death panels.....Oh my !!!
The Over/Under for Democratic Congressional Candidates NOT wanting Obama to campaign for them is set at 45. Place yer bets.
Obama may very well be responsible for splitting the Democratic Party into two parties.
Didnt he vote yes like a yellow dog?
All fine and good....but he indicates he would still vote for it, if it’s done with “common sense”. Even a heavily watered down version of “reform” is a proverbial foot-in-the-door, subject to tinkering and amendments later on.
These guys rely on being viewed as "just one of us" and "looking out for us" by the electorate. Any political move which gives people that warm, fuzzy feeling of not being alone and having someone in DC to 'champion' their cause is a vote-getter.
More kissing hands and shaking babies.
If he votes for this bill (on the floor)...he’s a goner.
That conservative district will find a GOP conservative to replace him
Voted with Obama 99% of the time!
The ONLY advertising we will need, in many districts, in 2010!
The Blue Dogs KNOW it, the rest are beginning to think about it.

I am not sure.
If a bill SPECIFICALLY outlawed tax payer financed abortions, excluded coverage for illegals, and took out all references to rationing -— I would still want such a bill to fail.
However, I think if we can force those changes, the bill WILL fail due to the backlash from liberal Democrats.
Obama, Pelosi, and Reid will push very hard to get something—anything—passed. They’ll work on tweaking and reverse-engineering it to fully implement their full socialist program later. The trick is to get the Trojan Horse safely through the gate and into the city this time round. Any Republican or blue dog Democrat who is inclined to help them needs to hear and feel our wrath now.
I attended the forum yesterday. Ross is my congressman, however I’ve never voted for him. The first two hours were very well scripted. He ran out the clock for nearly an hour with his hype. “What a tough guy I am. I stood up to the liberals, I’m taking care of you.” Then he called for public comments.
Two mikes were set up, one at the end of each isle. Apparently all of the liberal/socialist were seated up front. Humm. The rush to the mike was somewhat like a stampede of cattle. The two lines formed. Both over 70 feet long, 140 or more feet of people lined up. All of the first to speak were liberals wanting a government take over of health care. When people yelled at the speaker to hurry up or shut up after their 3 minutes were up, cops walked them out to the door. Final after two hours of how great Obama and Ross were some of the working Americans got a chance. The tone changed fast. Then the other side started jeering. But, that was OK. Lots of cops, but they have faded into the backgound...humm.
A lot of women were wearing badges stating, “Heath care of all Americans NOW. Organized? You bet it was. I believe they were from National Organization of of Women, but could never get a straight answer.
I could go on with this report, but I close with this:
Thus far health care companies have thrown $261,000 at Ross for the November 2010 election
If my district had a lapdog, I mean blue dog, I would be telling him/her “we know how it works in Washington, as long as Pelosi gets just enough votes to pass Cap/Tax or DeathCare or whatever, it passes. We know how the vote counting works. You might be **allowed** a pass on DeathCare but not on CapTax, but everything passes, all the time. So, rather than hold you accountable for just your vote, I’m holding you accountable for everything that passes, because you are a part of the RAT party, you own all the results.”
