U.S. Gives New Rights To Afghan Prisoners Challenging Detention to Be Allowed

Hundreds of prisoners held by the U.S. military in Afghanistan will for the first time have the right to challenge their indefinite detention and call witnesses in their defense under a new review system being put in place this week, according to administration officials.

Anyone in the military know if re-enlistment has dropped off the map yet?
99% of those prisoners are undeniable guilty and now they will use the system as a war against us. An endless stream of appeals will bring the courts to their knees.
The Obama administration is doing more to help mass murderers than any other group or government in the western world.
He’s taking all the rights that belong to Americans and giving them to foreigners.

What they need is to strengthen the intelligence community so they catch the real bad guys the first time, not give the enemy friggin lawyers.

This is what happens when the buffoons in Washington think they need to get involved in fighting wars. Our politicians have killed and wounded more U.S. military personnel than all of our enemies have ever dreamed of killing.
NO - NOW WAIT A MINUTE, stick with me ... we're not an occupying power are we? Not under the specific legal definition under International Law I think. And there is a legally constituted and recognized government (sorry Honduras, you don't count). Are we not there at the invitation of the Afghanistan gubermint now? yes, so these are their prisoners and perhaps we should give these 600 or so over to the tender mercies of their countrymen.

I think it is hard to do much right in a time of war, if you want to play it squeaky clean.
ok...let’s think about this...if they get released and go back to the fight (which we know they will)....this time they get killed instead of captured. No more problems with that particular guy. How about that idea? Would they rather be dead or sitting in a prison with a bed, bath, koran and three meals a day?
This news was released over the weekend, apparently. Looks like the obama team didn’t want it to get much attention. If there’s one good, pro-American reason for this obama should tell us what it is.

Tell that to the 4 Marines killed when the promised air support wouldn't come cause there was too much of a chance some "civilian" might have gotten hurt.
With Obama's new ROE we don't have much of chance. So yeah, let's let 'em go so they can kill more troops.
