With all the news articles appearing regarding our schools. I thought it was appropiate to play this old television presentation from the 1980.
I have looked though many of the media centers in our district to show it to my school students with no luck until now.
I think you will find it chilling.

I will be showing this to my 7th grade social studies class sometime in the coming weeks.
Now I will also play the video. (If it remains on youtube)
When the teacher suggests to the children that instead of praying to God they pray to their Dear Leader.
Then telling them the only way you will get anything is if it is given to you.
Bump
Show it to your colleagues first. I showed it to a few of mine two years ago. One or two seemed not to get it.
Thank you mware for posting a narrative of or about the video. I wish more people would do this for us dial-up FReepers.
When one retires to the country one must sacrifice some of the benefits of our electronic present. No broadband or cellphone.
:-)
As I was watching the videos of the children singing 0’s praise last week, this story came to mind. I remember reading it when it was published in a magazine back in the ‘60’s (Saturday Evening Post?). It is scarily appropriate for today.
This needs to be seen by all the kids.
Chillingly fascinating. And, all too close for comfort after seeing that video of the kids singing praises of 0bama...
America, WAKE UP! The nation is being strangled by the insidious tentacles of socialism at the hands of the anointed one and the 0bamunists.
". So you know that it doesn't matter whom you ask, whom you shut your eyes and 'pray' to -- to God or anyone, even Our Leader -no one will give you anything. Only another human being." She looked at Danny. "God didn't give you the puppy you wanted. But if you work hard, I will. Only I or someone like me can GIVE you things. Praying to God or anything or anyone for something is a waste of time."
Chilling indeed.
I will bring this to Mrs Zippo’s attenton since she is a teacher.
