Say your country has shown arrogance and been dismissive, even derisive toward its allies, then turn around and show arrogance and be dismissive, even derisive toward its allies.
Ignore the man you picked to lead a "war of necessity" and endlessly debate whether to unleash a surge of troops or pull outwhile the own troops who volunteered to defend you die.
Release 78 terrorists into the wild so they can turn around and plot evil schemes to kill you or the people you purport to lead.

What criteria?
Not Bush...
What criteria? ...................... Wave a white flag?
What a JOKE! I read the headline on drudgereport and thought, “What? This has got to be some kind of a joke, play on words, something.” He was nominated when he had been in office only a few weeks and had done NOTHING. I guess when you constantly berate your country and President Bush, the committee looks at you and says, “Well now, there’s a man who deserves this!” Imagine how the media is going to gush about this....
The world is upside down, people.
Anyway, generally speaking, I don't think the Peace Prize should go to elected officials. I think it should go to "civilians" who bypass government bureacracies to actually achieve something. I mean, how many government officials have won Peace Prizes for achieving "peace" in the Middle East? Is there peace in the Middle East? No.
Of course they love him, he hates American power, he loves appeasement, he is a socialist/marxist, he fits their European template perfectly. Meanwhile, he has had no impact whatsoever on peace in the world.
O is in excellent company. Arafat, Carter, and Gore.
yeah that and bend over and take it from Communist and Islamic terrorists everywhere.
Nobel committee has lost its mind. Not in the tank, it is the tank.
I thought it was a joke too-—had to check to see if I was watching a Saturday Night Live rerun. I literally had to reread the words on the bottom of the screen of the news this morning several times, because they just didn’t register as logical.
The Antichrist will emerge with the Secular World completely unaware of who he is. In spite of prophecy, they will not recognize him.
The ironic thing, to me, is he had to have been nominated just a couple months into office...I guess it was that campaign speech in Berlin, last summer, that won over the IOC. /sarcasm
Yawn ...
This bauble lost any and ALL significance the day they awarded it to Arafat.
Awarding it to Obama is merely a continuation of the parody.

How soon will it be (or has it happened already??) that the usual left wing haters will be on the air screeching about mean racist conservatives being mad this morning. Just a week ago they were crowing about zer0’s failure to get the Olympics, now he gets the award, etc.
I bet it will happen. They are so predictable.
My jaw literally dropped when I heard this on the radio while driving my husband to the bus stop (it’s raining and it’s a half mile from our house).
What has he done, other than grovel, apologize, and bow to the Saudi King? Seriously, even the CNN radio reporter seemed stunned and asked just what, exactly, has Obama actually done, other than give pretty speeches?
Clearly, the Nobel Peace Prize is an absolute joke. Otherwise, I’m still waiting to hear if this news is some kind of hoax.

You’re absolutely right.
This is not important to us, but it is to Obama backers. Now they can glow in the “justification” for their “wise” vote “for peace”. The American people like being reassured that they are “right” even when they are sorely wrong and on the path to constitutional demise.
