Is this a sign of desperation? Many unions are joining Team Obama with a health care rally and direct action against insurance companies Tuesday. Received in an email today from Take Action Minnesota:

Join us (and others across the nation) for Tuesday’s ‘Time to Deliver’ Day of Action.  On Tuesday morning will we go straight to the insurance industry to let them we intend to stand up for reform.

WHAT: Time to Deliver: Insurance Action
WHEN: Tuesday, October 20th from 9am to Noon
WHERE: Minneapolis United Labor Center*, 312 Central Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55414 (corner of Central Ave. and University Ave.)

Please RSVP for this event by clicking here.

I hope to see you there!

*This action will start at the Minneapolis United Labor Center.  We will meet-up to car pool and travel from there.  We will be returning to Minneapolis United Labor Center by noon.  Please plan on staying until then.

A similar action earlier this month resulted in the arrest of Minnesota SEIU President Julie Schnell  for blocking an entrance to UnitedHealth Group. From Purple People Beaters:

It appears that the Supporters of Government Health Care, like SEIU, are resorting to Civil Disobedience in order to make their Point about Supporting Government Health Care.

According to the SEIU Blog, The President of  the Minnesota Branch of the SEIU, Julie Schnell, was among six Protesters that were arrested yesterday.  No Not on Corruption, but for standing in front of a Door of an insurance company in Minnetonka, Minnesota and refusing to move. Here is the Video of the Arrest:

Best quote in the article:

Looks like SEIU delivered Al Franken for the Democrats, I guess we’ll see if they can Get Arrested enough to push through the Presidnt’s Health Care Plan.

At least you’ll never get sick of seeing SEIU Leaders in Hand Cuffs.

Look for a possible repeat performance Tuesday. One might assume these members should be working from 9-noon.

Any news of similar rallies in other states?

Wonder how the union members will respond when they learn their insurance plans are the same plans which will end up taxed as “cadillac?”

The SEIU has had radicals running it for years (since before 1982). What's needed is prosecutions under the RICO act.
