Ugh, I can’t stand Mark Davis and don’t understand why Rush has him sub for him.
For those of us in the DFW market it is apparent that Davis day by day is more into himself and of course knows more than anyone else. Frankly he can be a real pain in the a$$ with his know it all attitudes!
tried to
has this guy lost his head or something and why is Rush having him on.
He is trying to make an argument that voting for this RINO up in NY is better than voting for the conservative.
Does he not get it that voting for her is voting for a person who would vote for and with bozo ALL the time, she is even more liberal than the Dem.
Why do I think the Dems put this woman up there as a R and then put another Dem in,.
That way they win either way
Looks like the people are wiser than Mark.
Conservative people are sick and tired of the RHINO’s!
Davis is a RINO. He is trying to make Newt’s case that by voting for Hoffman, we are electing the Dem.
I’ve turned him off now as I can’t listen to that crap any more
I’ve been looking for the Rush thread to ask if any others hate Davis as much as I do.
I was just saying that Davis is a pompous ass know it all. He is a rude RINO.
Rush is doing a disservice to his listeners letting this guy with a creepy voice have the mic.
Everyone needs to email Rush and complain.
Constitutional limited government IS centrist.
If Scozzafava “cared” she would quit right now.
Yea right.
Great call from Mike.
He was noticeably less patient with social conservative callers.
Just my impression.
I can’t listen when Mark Davis subs...he’s a jerk who’s in love with the sound of his own voice. He’a also an a-hole for using Rush’s show as a platform for expounding a P.O.V. that is directly contrary to that of the host.
Mark Davis is worthless.
Rush should learn NEVER to use this guy.
NEVER listen to him.
Hey, Rush
Pick someone who is a conservative.
If you are going to call, ask Mark about first wife.
Fred Thompson is on.
Mark Davis needs to get lost.
The NY-23 situation is an unusual one, in that it's an open seat where the Republican candidate might just be more liberal than the Democrat. For that reason, a conservative alternative (Doug Hoffman) has emerged, and rather more strongly than one would otherwise expect.
If the Republican Party insists on supporting liberals who will surely vote with Democrats on most issues - then what the hell is the point of having an opposition?
It's one thing to allow for a big enough "tent" so as to build a political majority - it's another to abandon principle to expediency. But first, a viable party needs to decide what those principles are - the ones that define it, and without which - it ought not need exist.
The national GOP is a mess right now and at odds with its base because it refuses to perform this one simple task - define yourself. Then, and only then, ask people if they want to join.
There are going to be cases, especially in the liberal Northeast where GOP candidates will be less conservative, particularly on social issues than others. That can be acceptable if - if - they nonetheless support the core issues as defined by the party platform. May I suggest: free enterprise, limited government, low taxes, strong national defense, secure borders, and a respect for human life.
If Republicans ask me, as a conservative to vote for someone who does not believe in one or more of those things simply because that person has an "R" after their name, I'll decline and seek someone who does believe them. I'm not that desperate.
The DUMB logic in electing her to get another Republican in the Congress... WHAT IS THERE TO STOP HER FROM JUMPING SHIP AFTER ELECTED AND BECOMING A DEMOCRAT LIKE JIM JEFFORDS DID?
Just catching up with this thread and....YES, AFTER 45 MIN - I TURNED HIM OFFFFFFF!
