Sarah Palin, the only person with the clout to be able to address the entire nation via a Facebook entry, has done so again. Palin wants our nation to unite.

Possibly....if the RINOS are replaced by sound conservatives.

The GOP has to come together or there is no hope for this country. Forget a third party, the 2 dominant ones have made it practically impossible for a third party to succeed.

So, our best hope is for the Republicans to get their act together and pull the reins back on the leftist liberal anti-Americans. Conservative values must return to the Republican party, and soon.

As long as 30% of Amerca is infested with lazy, Socialist-loving, “the world owes me a living”, liberal nutjobs, this country will NEVER be united. I would suggest a more modest goal of removing all of the Marxists/statists from Washington D.C., which in my mind is an important first step in taking back our country.

........is this the first step in the remaking of the GOP?

If anyone can do it now it’s Sarah Palin. The way she draws crowds is so like Reagan and what she says really resonates with values driven conservative voters. Let’s hope and pray that this is the beginning of the Republican party returning to its conservative base.

We got there one step at a time, at least give it two steps at a time to get it back. Two steps will lead to three, three to four, and so on . . . . Exponential equations are our friend and the emeny of the left.

Ditto that for me we need Sarah now more that ever!
What she did in NY will not be forgotten for many years. It could well be the beginning of her 2012 run who knows.

I'd say, it's A step in refocussing on and reminding the GOP about their conservative roots.

Always the class act, Palin wrote:

............"I want to personally thank Republican Dede Scozzafava for acting so selflessly today in the NY District 23 race. Now it's time to cross the finish line with Doug Hoffman so that he can get to work for District 23 and the rest of America."............

There is one message in this saga unfolding in NY’s 23rd district, and one only.

The Republicans had best start putting up truly conservative candidates, finally.....or face their own inevitable destruction as a viable party.

Why are most people letting the Republican Party slide on this? They snubbed their nose at us Conservatives and now are trying to make it seem like they are on our side. BS! This SHOULD be the start of the Conservative Party with Sarah at its head. Let the RINOs go over to the Rats, we'll take the rest of the Republicans (which will then become the new 3rd party for those not choosing sides) and we can let it rumble against the Libtards.

“Forget a third party”

Why? It is sadly apparent that neither the Pubbies or the DhimmiRats represent the values of the majority of Americans. They are sycophants to special interest lobbies and dedicated to lining their own pockets via the pork barrel politics that corrupted Washington many, many years back.

So, why not a third party? It has been done before, and can be done again.

It’s time to take back the country.

I think because our media focuses on just the 2 parties, and Americans have gotten used to that. Also the costs of running, getting into debates, campaiging, it’s just gotten to difficult for a third party to get established.

So, I guess you would have to infiltrate one of the two like our muslim president did.

Our township in Kingwood, N.J. actually had a Libertarian mayor for a while. He couldn’t get anywhere with the County or state.

Dumb idea, pal. Study the facts about multi-party disasters in countries like Italy, or Canada. Up here, the Conservatives split and were crippled for 20 years, just as the Liberal/NDP/Green parties are now split on the left, allowing (thankfully) a united conservative party to walk up the middle.

There is no state or local backup, no party machinery, etc., etc., to support her. It would be a split disaster on the scale of the Ross Perot era, allowing the Dems to go up the middle as Clinton did.

Stop talking foolishness.

Instead we will have Senators like Crist, and Romney will be running for 2012. NO THANKS!

You could have senators like spincter, bacus, dodd, byrd, etal.

You like 60 demonRATs better than 55 pubbies with 25 of them being rinos?

FReepers, put this out on your email lists. Post it to other political discussion groups. Put it on your facebook page. This is a crucial juncture on so many levels. With Hoffman’s apparent success and Scozzafava’s stepping aside, it’s become a turning point as to whether we will end up with a third party (a death knell for the Republican party) or if we’ve truly taken the reins back from the RINO’s). What’s more, this is a beautiful opportunity for Palin’s leadership, who herself has taken the reins on this one.

I think what Sarah showed everyone is to STOP voting for the letter beside the candidate’s name!!! Vote for the best candidate no matter what party they are running in. If we vote for the most conservative candidates - then the members of both parties are going to have to work with them. The GOP can come along for the ride or they can be left behind. We must break the cycle of thinking it’s (R) or (D). We don’t need a third party - we just need to vote for the conservative & stop voting for whatever crap the RNC decides to shove down our throats.

“Conservative values must return to the Republican party, and soon.”

And the only way for that to happen is for as many Freepers and other conservatives to infiltrate state and local GOP parties to drive this. Hoping, wishing, or telling the establishment accomplishes little.

You’re right, of course.
Too many people do not get involved, or even vote. It’s a damn shame.
