A shocking piece of news from Great Britain Phil Jones, head of the Climate Research Unit of the University of East Anglia, who's emails are at the center of Climategate is stepping down pending the results of a university investigation. But he still defends his research:
The director of a research unit at the centre of a row over climate change data today said he would stand down from the post while an independent review took place.
Professor Phil Jones, director of the University of East Anglia's Climatic Research Unit (CRU), has said he 'absolutely' stands by the science produced by the centre - and that suggestions of a conspiracy to alter evidence to support a theory of man-made global warming were 'complete rubbish'.

Nah. This is just public relations eyewash. After the "investigation," which will be rigged to re-frame everything he did, he'll be reinstated and probably will get a Nobel.

Agreed, the smoke and mirrors in support of leftist propaganda begin. Eveyone should keep in mind, leftists never address real issues when caught, they just step to the side to redirect and reframe the issue as if it never happened.
Look at how long this farce has gone on...and they've involved the whole world...a whole world that can't take their own temperature without our money.
Looks like just another branch of the UN to me.

The elite are looking for a way to maintain their slipping feet on the necks of the peons- especially as mainstream media manipulation begins to fade in effectiveness. Just tax ‘em as they breath and burp..and drive ..and heat...a brilliant idea!!
Maybe he’ll go over and work with Van Jones at the Center for American Progress. That is the nursing home for liberals who foul themselves.

The first time I heard the word “rubbish” was while watching an episode of Family Affair when I was a kid.
Mr. French tried to impress a non-English speaking Euro-babe by speaking platitudes in her native tongue. He tried to say how attractive she looked, but said something like her hair looks like rubbish.
Hilarity ensued.
Stands by it? Well then why did he throw away all of the original temp information??!!

So he could stand there, and with a straight face say:

Just between you and me however, I am certain that all the erased original data is backed up somewhere. Unless (unlikely) other conspirators are erasing stuff from their hundreds of computers as we speak.
